    The Blackminer F1 is designed with a single front fan and two hash boards. The outer hull is molded in one piece and is made of precision die-cast design and aluminum alloy. This design not only provides strong protection for the hash boards, but also enhances the heat dissipation performance of mining machine.

    As can be seen from the top of the mining machine, the Blackminer F1 consists of two hash boards. Each of the hash board has two 6pin ports while control boards has one. Each interface needs to be connected to a power supply. Two sets of wires connect the controller and the two hash boards.

    On the front of the controller, we can see the IP address feedback button, Ethernet cable interface, reset button and status indicators. The front fan of the mining machine is the air inlet area. The rear fan has not been adopted but a spider web shaped plate is very good for air flow, which makes the overall design lighter and smoother. The internal structure of the Blackminer F1 is very concise and it provides a larger heat dissipation area. The module spacing also forms a unique air duct inside the mining machine, which is maximizing the use of fans and structural walls to maximize heat dissipation.

    Blackminer F1 installation and review

    The installation of the Blackminer F1 is very simple. We use an ATX power supply, plug the connectors of the PSU into the two hash boards and controller, plug in the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet adapter port. The default IP address of Blackminer F1 is 192.168.50.224. Open the browser and use this IP address to enter the background of the mining machine.

    We can see through the background that there are five default algorithms in Blackminer F1: bitmuth, lyra2z, skeincoin, xdag and xvg_lyra2rev2. Every user can switch the algorithms by mining only with one button. It takes about a time for a computer to restart, then the miner can immediately mining the digital currency with this algorithm, which is very easy to operate.

    According to the official specs of Blackminer F1, the hash rates and power consumption of different algorithms of F1 are different. In this review, we choose the bismuth algorithm. During the observation period, the hash rate is stable at 20.3-20.8 Gh/s. The frequency is set at 460 M, and the actual power consumption is about 618 W. As can be seen from the background, the temperature of the chips is 60-63℃.
